If you’re new to playing the king of casino games, you may be wondering if there’s a strategy that can guarantee wins. If you have some experience betting on Lady Luck’s wheel, you probably know that no such strategy exists, but the best Roulette betting systems could help you to make the most of the game.
For you to see those betting systems really work their magic, you would need an unlimited bankroll, and you would need to play games that do not have bet limits. The chances of either of those conditions happening are slim, but that doesn’t mean the best betting systems cannot work in your favour.
Oscar’s Grind
The Roulette betting system known as Oscar’s Grind was publicised in the Casino Gambler’s Guide, a 1965 book by Allan Wilson. The system is named after the man who reportedly taught it to Wilson.
When using Oscar’s Grind, you place a 1.00 outside bet, which is followed by another bet of the same size, regardless of whether the first bet wins or loses. If your second bet wins, place a bet of 2.00. If it loses, place another 2.00 bet, but if it wins, place a 3.00 bet, and so on.
The Paroli System
The Paroli System is one of the best Roulette betting systems for games that have low bet limits. Developed by Blaise Pascal, it works best when you stick to placing outside bets.
To implement the Paroli system, double your bet after landing a win. If your next bet wins, double again. Revert to your original bet whether your third bet loses or not. For example, your first bet of 1.00 wins, so your second bet will be 2.00. If it wins, your third bet will be 4.00, but if it wins, your third bet will be 1.00. Regardless of the outcome of your third bet, your fourth bet will be 1.00.
The Martingale System
One of the most famous of the betting systems used for Roulette, the Martingale System works best with the European and French variations of the game. If you want to use the Martingale System when you play Roulette online, you will need to double your bet after every loss.
If you win, you revert to your original bet amount. For example, your first bet of 1.00 loses, so your second bet will be 2.00. It loses, so your third bet will be 4.00. It wins, so your fifth bet will be 1.00, and so on.
The Three-To-Two System
The Three-To-Two System uses colours and columns, which means you cannot use inside bets with it. To use it, you need to bet on Black and the third column, or Red and the second column – but there is more to it.
The ratio of your bets must be three to two. Let’s say your chips are worth 5.00. You would bet 15.00 on Black and 10.00 on the third column, or 15.00 on Red and 10.00 on the second column.
If you would rather not take your chances, the best thing you can do for your game is place outside bets.
